IT Server Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an IT Server Administrator to join our team and help secure our customers by managing and protecting critical server infrastructure. The role combines on‑premises Windows Server management with cloud operations on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including domain controllers, file and application servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies via Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
• Administer virtual environments using Hyper‑V and VMware technologies.
• Implement and oversee enterprise backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability; proactively resolve issues.
• Apply patches, updates, and service packs in line with security standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on integrated IT projects.
• Administer Azure infrastructure (VMs, App Services, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, RBAC) and perform day‑to‑day operations following SOPs and runbooks.
• Own first‑line Azure incident response, troubleshoot compute, storage, networking, and security components, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Use Terraform for provisioning Azure resources and support Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and state management.
• Monitor Azure environments with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; optimise cost, enforce policies, and manage Key Vault.
• Participate in an after‑hours on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
