IT Risk Advisory Intern / Trainee

About the role

Join PwC’s Risk Consulting team as an IT Risk Advisory Intern/Trainee, supporting internal audit services and IT General Controls assessments for clients in Gurgaon and Mumbai.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IT General Controls reviews, IT internal audits and controls testing.
• Conduct IT assessment reviews covering policies, change management, user access, operations and backup/recovery.
• Interview client stakeholders, facilitate walkthroughs and develop assessment artifacts.
• Document findings, propose recommendations and assist in preparing client deliverables.
• Collaborate with senior associates on project management, client presentations and proposal development.
• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative/virtual work environment.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of IFC/SOX and ITGC domains such as policies, change management, user access, operations and backup/recovery.
• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and IT risk assessment methodologies.
• Minimum qualification: BE/BTech/CA (post‑graduate preferred). Prior Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation skills and willingness to travel as needed.
