IT Procurement Manager – Enterprise Infrastructure

About the role

VCARE InfoTech Limited is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing of enterprise‑level IT infrastructure, data‑center, cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and managed‑services solutions. The role involves close collaboration with sales, pre‑sales, finance and project teams to ensure cost‑effective, timely delivery for both government/PSU and private‑sector projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement of enterprise IT infrastructure products and solutions.
• Manage strategic relationships with OEMs, national distributors, VARs and technology partners.
• Source competitive quotations, negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, bid management, finance and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Handle RFQ/RFP processes, vendor evaluations and special pricing registrations with OEMs.
• Negotiate contracts, payment terms, warranties, SLAs and other commercial agreements.
• Monitor inventory planning, supply‑chain performance and vendor compliance.
• Track procurement KPIs, cost‑savings and vendor performance, identifying alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in IT procurement/sourcing, preferably within enterprise infrastructure and SI domains.
• Proven experience working with system integrators, VARs, MSPs, national IT distributors and Tier‑1 OEMs.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience handling multi‑OEM procurements.
• Deep understanding of enterprise IT products, technologies and licensing models.
• Excellent vendor relationship management and ability to coordinate with sales, bid and delivery teams.
• Experience in government/PSU procurement, GeM knowledge and import logistics is a plus.
• MBA or supply‑chain certification preferred.
