IT Infrastructure & Server Administrator

About the role

The IT Infrastructure & Server Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the hospital’s critical IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of servers, networks, storage, and backup systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor server health, performance, storage, CPU, and memory, and resolve incidents promptly.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user access controls.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Maintain server room equipment including racks, UPS, power, and cooling systems.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Coordinate with ISPs and external vendors for connectivity issues.
• Oversee daily backups, verify integrity, and execute disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Implement infrastructure security controls, antivirus/endpoint protection, and apply OS/security patches.
• Support critical hospital applications (HIS/HMS, EMR, LIS, RIS/PACS, billing, pharmacy, laboratory) and ensure their infrastructure availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance, maintain documentation, and generate performance and incident reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in server and network administration within a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices and backup/disaster‑recovery concepts.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize incidents, and document procedures.
