IT Hardware & Support Executive

About the role

The IT Hardware & Support Executive ensures the organization’s IT hardware and end‑user devices operate smoothly. This role handles installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, peripherals and networking equipment, providing first‑line technical support to employees.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, UPS, projectors and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, perform replacements, upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare and hand over equipment for new hires and replacements, ensuring proper configuration.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date IT hardware asset register, track allocation, movement, warranty and disposal.
• Provide first‑level support for hardware and connectivity problems, logging tickets and ensuring timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi‑Fi and Internet connectivity, support cabling, switches, routers and access points.
• Install and manage printers and scanners, handle consumables and coordinate service contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in desktop and peripheral hardware support.
• Strong understanding of IT asset management processes.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic operating system and application issues.
• Good communication skills to assist end‑users and coordinate with vendors.
