IT Desktop Support Technician – Backfill

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team on a backfill basis. You will provide on‑site field support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure minimal disruption to end‑users while adhering to warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform desk‑side support and PC break/fix for Windows, macOS and Linux workstations.
• Install, configure, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Provide smart‑hand assistance for networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling.
• Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity issues using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Log and manage incidents through ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Analyze repeat calls, develop preventive actions, and contribute to problem management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support experience.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related field (preferred).
• CompTIA A+ certification; additional OEM certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo) are a plus.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work flexible schedules.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
