IT Delivery – Java & Springboot Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Delivery professional to lead and mentor a team of Java and Spring Boot developers. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality applications while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Java & Spring Boot developers, managing workload, delegating tasks, and providing regular feedback.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and enhance micro‑service based applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Write clean, efficient code, perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Maintain and optimise existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes.
• Collaborate with database and system administrators to integrate applications with other systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and coding standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Java and Spring technologies and recommend improvements.
• Support system integration, data migration, and software deployment activities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities and solid technical background.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles, SOLID design principles, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of architecture and design fundamentals, testing tools, and project life‑cycle activities.
• Awareness of current technology trends and a proactive attitude toward risk identification and mitigation.
