iOS Mobile Lead Engineer (Hybrid, Chennai)

About the role

BNP Paribas is looking for an experienced iOS Mobile Lead Engineer to join its Mobile team in Chennai. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work, and focuses on delivering high‑quality mobile banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of mobile banking and trading applications.
• Co‑design technical implementations aligned with the bank’s mobile strategy.
• Maintain documentation, processes, and the tool landscape for mobile development.
• Drive continuous delivery through automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and co‑design architectural specifications and ensure software quality using tools such as Sonar and Fortify.
• Provide 3rd‑level support, fix bugs, and execute small enhancements.
• Monitor and replace obsolete components and libraries.
• Support optimisation of development processes, prototype new technologies, and improve operational stability together with IT production teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering or a comparable field.
• 9 + years of professional experience in mobile software development.
• Proven experience delivering complex mobile solutions in a regulated banking environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• iOS development (Swift/Objective‑C).
• Mobile development best practices and architecture.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• Static analysis and security tools such as Sonar and Fortify.
• Test automation and integration testing.
