Inventory Control & Supply Chain Finance

About the role

This position partners with Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing and Finance teams to drive inventory governance, working‑capital optimisation and product‑cost budgeting across India operations. The role owns inventory analytics, slow‑moving stock (SLOB) reduction, vendor‑return governance and the timely release of budgeted product costs to global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory health, reduce blocked stock, minimise ageing and improve inventory turns across manufacturing sites.
• Manage SLOB through monthly analysis of slow‑moving and near‑expiry inventory, identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to optimise stock holdings, return rejected materials and prevent build‑up.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory reporting via monthly reconciliations, validation, quarter‑/year‑end closures and alignment with financial records.
• Develop and publish dashboards, MIS and management reports covering trends, ageing, quality stock, provisions and working‑capital metrics.
• Govern inventory provisioning, destruction approvals and batch tracking to ensure compliance and visibility.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing provisions, reconciliations and schedules.
• Lead annual product‑cost budget consolidation, validate assumptions and ensure data consistency before market release.
• Drive process simplification, reporting automation and digital initiatives, including SAP/HANA enhancements.
• Analyse creditor days, payment terms and procurement planning to improve working capital.
