Internal Auditor

About the role

As a Group Internal Auditor you will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting to add value and improve Sandvik’s operations. You will help the organisation achieve its objectives by applying a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate risk management, internal controls and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the IA Operational Manager and GIA team in scoping audits, analysing data and conducting initial interviews to identify key risks.
• Assist the Audit Team Lead with planning activities such as scheduling interviews, extracting relevant data and researching technical subjects as needed.
• Prepare for audits by reviewing assigned processes, relevant policies, prior audit reports and reaching out for guidance.
• Execute internal audits independently, including desktop reviews, onsite audits and remote work following the GIA methodology.
• Conduct periodic update meetings with stakeholders, report findings, root causes and risk assessments, and incorporate feedback.
• Lead interim and exit meetings with auditee management and prepare draft audit reports summarising observations and recommendations.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand processes, risks and relevant policies.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with audit teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interviewing, reporting and presenting findings.
• Passion for continuous improvement and delivering high‑quality audit outcomes.
