Internal Auditor – Accounts

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor – Accounts to strengthen the internal audit and financial control function of a leading steel manufacturing organization in Hospet, Karnataka. The role involves conducting audits across financial, accounting, operational and commercial processes, identifying control gaps and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of financial statements, inventory, costing and operational processes.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Identify financial risks and control deficiencies, and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Monitor compliance with statutory regulations and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with business units to implement corrective actions and follow‑up on audit findings.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in internal audit, accounts, finance or financial controls.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing accounts, inventory controls and costing, preferably in steel, metals, heavy engineering or related process industries.
• Experience working in integrated steel plants, alloy or special steel manufacturers, rolling mills, forging or large engineering firms is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP.
