Internal Audit Specialist (Forensic Audit)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Specialist with a focus on forensic audits to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls. The role will design and implement control frameworks, identify fraud risks and lead audit readiness initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the internal control environment in partnership with operations and cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with corporate internal‑control requirements and related policies.
• Lead and coordinate Hard Close control checklists for the May and November reporting cycles.
• Review internal processes to maintain checks and balances that mitigate fraud risk.
• Conduct forensic reviews and investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with functional departments to provide timely responses to internal auditors, including Varma & Varma.
• Prepare the organization for corporate internal audits, ensuring audit readiness, documentation and closure of gaps.
• Track audit findings and work with process owners to implement corrective actions.
• Advise management on internal‑control improvements, risk mitigation and governance best practices.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5‑6 years of experience in internal audit, risk management or forensic audit.
• Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG or PwC) strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal‑control frameworks, fraud‑risk management, forensic auditing techniques and audit methodologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
