Internal Audit Consultant (Hyderabad)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Consultant for its Internal Audit team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on operational, compliance, ISO and financial audits for Deloitte USI entities, applying risk‑based methodologies to add value to internal clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational, compliance, ISO and financial audits for Deloitte USI entities.
• Evaluate risks and controls, recommending improvements based on industry best practices.
• Prepare and review audit programs, assign work, and ensure sufficient audit evidence.
• Critically review workpapers and audit documentation.
• Assess learning needs and development areas for team members.
• Collaborate with auditors, seniors, managers in the US and India, maintaining professional relationships with auditees.

Required profile

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 4‑6 years of internal or statutory audit experience (excluding articleship).
• Strong knowledge of business process audits and professional skepticism.
• High integrity, ethical standards and commitment to data privacy.
• Effective problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
