Interior Design Faculty (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

The Cindrebay School of Design is seeking a full-time, on-site faculty member to teach Interior Design at its Cannanore campus. The successful candidate will deliver lectures, studio sessions and workshops that align with the institution’s curriculum and industry standards, fostering creativity and professional growth among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interior design lectures, studio classes and hands‑on workshops.
• Develop lesson plans, project briefs and assessment criteria that reflect current industry practices.
• Guide students through design projects, review portfolios and provide constructive feedback.
• Assess assignments, examinations and maintain accurate academic records.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in academic events, industry collaborations and other institutional activities.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in interior design principles, space planning and material selection.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring or training diverse learners.
• Ability to design curriculum, lesson plans and assessments that meet industry standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related discipline.
• Professional experience in interior design practice or consultancy is highly beneficial.
• Willingness to collaborate with academic and administrative teams and contribute to institutional initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with interior design software commonly used in the industry.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, material specifications and design documentation.
