Interior Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interior Architect to join our client’s team in Mumbai. The role involves leading interior design development from concept through construction administration, ensuring functional and aesthetic outcomes that meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior architecture designs across Concept, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration phases.
• Produce space‑planning studies, design validation, and functional adjacency analyses.
• Lead creation of interior drawings, details, shop drawings, and submittals for multiple project scopes.
• Conduct constructability and coordination reviews, resolving design conflicts proactively.
• Apply building codes, accessibility standards, and construction methodologies to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with design leaders, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and self‑perform teams to deliver coordinated interior solutions.
• Generate conceptual renderings and visual materials to communicate design intent.
• Maintain interior detail libraries and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards.
• Support RFIs, value‑engineering, construction‑phase clarifications, and QA/QC processes.
• Mentor junior team members and assist with project planning and staffing.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in interior architecture or related design fields.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and interior construction methods.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage complex project deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
