Intensive Care Nurse – ICU

About the role

The Intensive Care Nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU of a 60‑bed multi‑speciality hospital. The role involves continuous patient monitoring, timely clinical interventions, and close coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and patient status continuously using ICU equipment.
• Administer medications, including IV drugs and emergency drugs, according to protocols.
• Operate and manage ventilators and other life‑support devices.
• Perform detailed clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding care plans and progress.
• Adhere strictly to infection‑control standards and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Recognized nursing qualification (GNM/B.Sc Nursing or equivalent) with valid registration.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in an ICU or critical‑care setting, preferably.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Residency near Central/Harbor – Mumbai line preferred.
