Instructor – Competitive Programming (DSA)

About the role

Newton School of Technology is looking for a passionate Competitive Programming and Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) instructor. You will teach core algorithmic concepts, mentor students through coding contests, and prepare them for technical interviews and software engineering careers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging classroom sessions on DSA and Competitive Programming.
• Teach algorithms, data structures, problem‑solving techniques, and coding patterns.
• Mentor students with progressively challenging coding problems.
• Prepare assignments, contests, assessments, and practice problems.
• Run doubt‑clearing and individual/group mentoring sessions.
• Help students improve performance on platforms such as Codeforces, CodeChef, LeetCode, and AtCoder.
• Guide students for competitive programming contests and technical interviews.
• Track student performance and provide actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve curriculum and learning outcomes.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in software development, competitive programming, coding instruction, or a related field.
• Strong command of Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Demonstrated competitive programming experience on platforms like Codeforces, CodeChef, LeetCode, or AtCoder.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
• Genuine interest in teaching and helping students succeed.
