In‑Service Engineer – Cabin & Cargo Mechanical

About the role

We are looking for an In‑Service Engineer specialised in Cabin & Cargo Mechanical systems to join Airbus’s In‑Service Engineering Centre of Competence. The role supports the complete Airbus commercial fleet, providing technical assistance and solutions to airline customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to daily engineering queries from airlines regarding cabin and cargo mechanical equipment (galleys, lavatories, cargo and avionics compartments, floor‑to‑floor systems) across the Airbus fleet.
• Provide on‑site or virtual assistance as required, coordinating with airlines, internal design offices, AOG centres and suppliers.
• Assess and address technical concerns within defined time‑frames, ensuring safety, airworthiness and operational efficiency.
• Analyse reported in‑service events to identify impacts on reliability, cost of operation, passenger and crew comfort, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with multi‑functional teams in a multicultural environment to deliver high‑quality technical recommendations.

Required profile

• 4‑year aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of experience in cabin and cargo mechanical equipment or related in‑service roles.
• Knowledge of airline operations and familiarity with ATA 25 systems.
• Strong customer focus, excellent communication in English and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Team player, adaptable and committed to continuous development.

Required skills

• ATA 25 technical standards.
• Airline operations knowledge.
