Job description

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Linux System and Networking Administrator to manage and secure our infrastructure. The role involves maintaining Linux servers, overseeing virtual environments, and ensuring reliable network operations for a financial services organization.

Key responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) in physical and virtual settings.
Manage web, database, file, and directory services such as Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Samba, and LDAP.
Develop automation scripts using Bash, Ansible, or Python.
Administer Proxmox VE and VMware vCenter/ESXi, handling VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and resource optimization.
Design, configure, and manage LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, routing, trunking, and link aggregation.
Maintain firewalls (pfSense, iptables, FortiGate), VPNs (OpenVPN, WireGuard), and secure remote access.
Monitor network performance with tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, and NetFlow.
Implement security hardening, patch management, IDS/IPS, and compliance audits.
Provide tier‑2/3 support and document infrastructure, diagrams, and SOPs.

Required profile

3–5+ years of Linux system administration and networking experience.
At least 3 years managing Proxmox or VMware vCenter environments.
Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals.
