Infection Control Nurse – Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai

About the role

The Infection Control Nurse will lead and coordinate infection prevention activities across all hospital departments. Reporting to the Manager – Quality & Nursing, the role ensures compliance with infection control policies and promotes a safe environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assign duties and responsibilities for infection control activities.
• Maintain surveillance of hospital areas and laboratory data related to infection control.
• Conduct regular rounds in all departments to monitor adherence to infection control guidelines.
• Monitor implementation of the hospital infection control policy, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization practices.
• Identify infection rates in high‑risk areas and audit hand‑washing practices.
• Plan and coordinate hospital‑wide education programs on infection control for all staff.
• Participate in ongoing infection control training to keep knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Medical Director, HOD, or management.

Required profile

• Qualified GNM or B.Sc. Nursing graduate.
• Training on infection control practices.
• Adherence to specified dress code with ID card.
• Duty hours as per scheduled requirements.
• Reporting line: Manager – Quality & Nursing.
