Industrial System Engineer – Simulation & Process Optimization

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an Industrial System Engineer to design, develop, and standardize discrete‑event simulation models for existing and future manufacturing lines and final assembly lines. The role focuses on improving processes, defining new ways of working, and driving higher factory throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and standardize discrete‑event simulation models of manufacturing plants and FALs.
• Collaborate with industrial engineers to balance production rates, determine buffer requirements and maximize throughput.
• Define the most appropriate ways of working for generating simulation studies for Airbus.
• Develop knowledge‑transfer solutions and support key projects alongside simulation architects.
• Ensure project outcomes deliver tangible benefits and enable sustainable long‑term performance.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Entry‑level experience in project management with multicultural teams.
• Understanding of industrialization, production management and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (VSM) and Six Sigma variance analysis.

Required skills

• Discrete event simulation tools such as Plant Simulation or Anylogic.
• Scientific programming knowledge – Python, Java, SimTalk.
• Data analytics and data‑wrangling for modelling.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
