Industrial Pipe Operator (36k‑65k lb) – Houston

About the role

Watco is seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Operator to join the Houston Material Handling team at the Greensport Terminal. You will operate large‑capacity forklifts and other heavy equipment to move pipe, coils, crates and other oversized cargo in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 36k‑65k lb capacity forklifts (e.g., Hyster, Taylor), reach stackers and front‑end loaders.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑operation equipment inspections.
• Communicate with operational stakeholders throughout the shift.
• Wear all required Watco and OSHA personal protective equipment.
• Follow company safety programs and work rules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Knowledge of weight limits, load distribution and material storage protocols.
• Flexible schedule with availability for overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; forklift certification preferred.
