Indirect Finance Associate Analyst

About the role

The Indirect Finance Associate Analyst supports internal clients and external providers by ensuring accurate invoice and credit‑note processing, maintaining key performance indicators, and driving process automation. The role contributes to BASF's new Global Hub in India and works within a globally integrated finance and HR team.

Key responsibilities

• Review and account for invoices and credit notes, with or without purchase orders, for BASF plants in the served regions.
• Provide support to internal clients and handle supplier claims while complying with BASF, FRC and local legal requirements.
• Act as primary contact for business units, category buyers, requesters, suppliers, material master data owners, and local finance on purchasing and invoice payment matters.
• Identify and implement actions to improve the invoicing experience.
• Support small‑scale projects and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
• Collaborate with P2P Procurement to manage end‑to‑end procurement and payment processes.

Required profile

• Education in Administration, International Business or Economics.
• 1–3 years of experience in similar finance or accounting roles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Preferred experience in a Global Business Services or Shared Services Centre environment.
• Prior exposure to the chemical, manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus.
