Implementation Engineer III

About the role

The Implementation Engineer III is a senior technical delivery leader who partners with government customers to bring OpenGov cloud software to life. This role owns complex product configurations, data migrations, and guides customers through the full deployment journey from kickoff to go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data migration, configuration, and testing for the most complex government implementations across the United States.
• Perform configuration and data reviews to ensure alignment with requirements, best practices, and audit‑ready accuracy.
• Own end‑to‑end data migration, including schema mapping, ETL tool configuration, and advanced scripting.
• Design and execute test scenarios that validate configuration and migrated data before go‑live.
• Mentor associate and mid‑level Implementation Engineers, reviewing their work and accelerating their technical growth.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of experience in software implementation, data migration, or technical consulting, preferably with enterprise or SaaS products.
• 5+ years of hands‑on SQL scripting experience, including complex queries and data reconciliation.
• 3+ years of Python (or similar) scripting experience for automation and data processing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with executive and technical stakeholders.
