ICU Staff Nurse – Ferozepur Rd., Ludhiana

About the role

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our facility on Ferozepur Road in Ludhiana is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to provide high‑quality care to critically ill patients. Reporting to the Intensivist/Anesthetist, you will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring patient safety and supporting the medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions when needed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Identify and address potential complications such as infections, bleeding, or respiratory issues.
• Administer prescribed pain relief medications and manage pain levels.
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent infection transmission.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical periods.
• Document all interventions, patient responses, and condition changes accurately.
• Manage inventory of medicines and consumables, ensuring adequate stock.
• Check and maintain biomedical equipment, including crash cart readiness.
• Prepare stable patients for discharge and deliver clear discharge instructions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and training programs.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or HDU settings.
• Ability to handle emergency medical equipment confidently.
• Adherence to dress code and identification badge requirements.
• Willingness to work scheduled duty hours as needed.
