HVAC Engineer – Airports

About the role

The HVAC Engineer – Airports will lead the design review, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of HVAC systems for airport infrastructure projects. The role ensures efficient climate control, ventilation and air‑quality solutions in terminals and other airport facilities while meeting industry standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review HVAC design drawings, specifications and calculations for airport facilities and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Supervise installation of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, ventilation systems and piping, monitoring contractor activities for timely execution.
• Oversee testing and commissioning, including airflow balancing, pressure testing and system optimization to meet operational and energy‑efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and civil teams, track project progress and maintain documentation, inspection reports and commissioning records.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and troubleshoot system issues to ensure safety, environmental and energy‑efficiency compliance.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably on airport, metro or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, ventilation systems, ducting design and air‑distribution concepts.
• Familiarity with HVAC design software and relevant standards.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting HVAC equipment.
