Human Resources Manager – People & Culture

About the role

Caresmith is looking for its first dedicated HR Manager to own the entire people function. Reporting directly to the Co‑Founders, you will lead a small team and be responsible for building and executing HR processes that support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Revamp the performance management system with role‑specific KRAs, measurable outcomes, and a tighter review cadence.
• Drive end‑to‑end recruitment velocity, design sourcing strategies, guide the Junior Recruiter, and ensure timely hiring decisions.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, documentation, confirmations, exits, and accurate HRMS data maintenance.
• Coordinate payroll inputs with the outsourced partner and ensure compliance with Indian labour laws (PF, ESI, PT, Shops & Establishments, POSH).
• Own the HR policy manual, keep it up‑to‑date, and enforce adherence across the organization.
• Lead culture and engagement initiatives, fostering everyday interactions, feedback channels, and team connectedness.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an HR function in a fast‑growing environment.
• Ability to work independently without day‑to‑day founder involvement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to align on role requirements and hiring decisions.
• Experience managing a small HR team and coordinating with external payroll partners.
