Human Resources Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function at Stillwood Retreat, a luxury resort set amidst 40 acres of coffee plantations in Coorg. The role will partner with the resort leadership team to shape people strategies that support performance, engagement and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all human resources functions across the resort.
• Develop and implement people strategies aligned with the resort’s culture, values and business objectives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and talent development initiatives.
• Foster a positive and engaging work environment that promotes colleague well‑being and performance.
• Manage employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and timely resolution of workplace issues.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on people management, performance and employment‑related matters.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, company policies and statutory requirements.
• Drive colleague engagement, recognition, welfare and retention initiatives.
• Support learning and development programs that enhance capability and career growth.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and workforce planning processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR leadership role within a luxury resort or upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of human resources practices, employee relations and employment legislation.
• Experience managing HR operations in remote or destination‑based resort environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive matters with professionalism.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for people development, colleague engagement and organizational culture.
