Human Resources Manager – Factory & Statutory Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Bhopal. The role focuses on statutory compliance, payroll administration, contract labour management and employee relations within a regulated factory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, Factory Act, EPF, ESIC, CLRA, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity and related statutory regulations.
• Liaise with government authorities, maintain statutory records, licences and ensure timely filings.
• Manage contractor compliance, conduct audits, oversee onboarding and deployment of contract labour.
• Process monthly payroll, statutory deductions, attendance, leave, overtime and final settlements.
• Handle the full employee lifecycle – onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions and exits.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS and implement factory‑specific HR policies.
• Address employee grievances and support healthy industrial relations.
• Coordinate HR compliance for WHO‑GMP, Schedule M, ISO, customer and internal audits.
• Conduct compliance awareness sessions and coordinate employee training programmes.

Required profile

• Graduate or MBA in Human Resources, Personnel Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in factory HR, statutory compliance, payroll and contract labour management.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and factory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with government authorities, auditors and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS for employee data and payroll processing.
