Human Resources Manager – Educational Institution

About the role

The Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI) seeks a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions for its academic campuses. You will shape policies, oversee recruitment, and ensure compliance with labour and educational regulations, supporting the institution’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for teaching and non‑teaching staff, including job posting, shortlisting, interviewing and selection.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, employee documentation, and maintain accurate HR records.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, educational regulatory bodies, and internal policies.
• Oversee payroll processing, attendance, leave management and employee database upkeep.
• Address employee grievances, promote a positive work environment, and drive engagement and retention initiatives.
• Support performance appraisal cycles and staff development programs.

Required profile

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of HR experience, preferably within educational institutions.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and labour legislation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with HR software systems.
