Hub Operations Manager – Express Logistics

About the role

The Hub Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day activities of an Express Logistics hub in Kolkata. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth line‑haul operations across air, road and rail modes, meeting service level agreements and supporting peak‑season demand.

Key responsibilities

• Handle hub operations for an assigned shift, overseeing line‑haul planning, organization and monitoring.
• Create and manage weekly and daily line‑haul schedules, ensuring alignment with transportation modes.
• Implement company policies, participate in audits, identify gaps and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor vehicle availability, commercial connections and follow up on delayed shipments.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and SLA compliance for each client.
• Collaborate with forecasting teams to improve base forecasts and plan festive peak loads.
• Analyse scheduling performance, develop improved methodologies and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely cash receivables and finance reconciliations.
• Liaise with local authorities to facilitate smooth operational activities.

Required profile

• Graduate or post‑graduate degree.
• 2–3 years of experience managing shift operations in a logistics hub.
• Ability to manage route, transhipment and local delivery operations.
• Effective communication with branches, vendors and internal teams.
