HR Manager – South Asia Pacific

About the role

As the HR Manager for the South Asia Pacific region, you will lead the regional people agenda, aligning HR initiatives with business strategy and growth objectives. Based in Bangalore, you will work closely with the Regional Director and the wider APAC HR community to embed a people‑centric approach across seven countries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to the Regional Director, translating regional business goals into HR strategies and change initiatives.
• Design and implement core HR processes such as performance management, talent development, succession planning and workforce planning.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through development to off‑boarding, ensuring consistent delivery of payroll and HR services.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, compensation and benefits regulations, privacy and workplace standards across all South Asia Pacific markets.
• Lead and develop the regional HR team, including remote reports, and collaborate with the broader APAC HR network on global initiatives.
• Promote Axis core values and culture, acting as a cultural ambassador and driving continuous improvement of HR scalability and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR leader managing multi‑country operations, preferably in the South Asia Pacific region.
• Strong understanding of regional labour legislation and HR compliance requirements.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and translate business priorities into actionable HR programs.
• Excellent communication and change‑management skills, with a track record of fostering employee engagement.
