HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to own the full employee lifecycle for Codebase, a software development services firm. The role combines strategic partnership with delivery managers and hands‑on execution of HR operations, compliance and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, documentation, HRIS (Zoho) updates and exit management for all staff.
• Ensure HR compliance, policy implementation and timely execution of organisational processes.
• Coordinate payroll activities including salary changes, deductions, reimbursements and vendor billing.
• Maintain accurate employee records, trackers and MIS reports.
• Support performance management, disciplinary procedures and grievance handling.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring, offers and compensation, including technical sourcing and first‑level screening.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communications and culture‑building events.
• Represent Codebase at tech meetups and organise employer‑branding events in Pune.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in HR operations, compliance, employee relations and payroll coordination.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, statutory requirements and documentation standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience handling employee queries and escalations.
• Proficiency with HRMS/HR tools and ability to design and manage HR processes.
• Willingness and ability to organise IT/developer meetups and community events.

Required skills

• Zoho HRIS and other HRMS platforms.
• Breezy HR or comparable applicant tracking systems.
• Boolean search techniques using LinkedIn Recruiter, Naukri Resdex, GitHub and niche tech communities.
• Familiarity with MERN stack, React Native.NET, Python and QA automation tools for talent sourcing.
