HR Executive (HR Generalist) – Mumbai

About the role

We are a fast‑scaling HR Tech & SaaS startup based in Lower Parel/Dadar, Mumbai. We are looking for a proactive HR Executive to own day‑to‑day people operations, from onboarding to employee engagement, while ensuring compliance with local labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle – offers, onboarding, transfers, exits and related documentation.
• Partner with hiring managers to run recruitment pipelines, schedule interviews and maintain ATS records.
• Support payroll processing, leave tracking and maintain HR policy documents in line with Maharashtra labour regulations.
• Plan and execute employee engagement activities such as team lunches, wellness programs and birthday celebrations.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on policies, benefits and workplace concerns.
• Assist in HR audits, maintain statutory registers (PF, ESI, PT) and ensure overall compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with HRMS tools (e.g., greytHR, Zoho People, Keka).
• Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP and data formatting.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter, Freshworks, SmartRecruiters).
• Good knowledge of statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, Shop & Establishment Act).
