HP OpenVMS System Admin with Immediate Joining

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HP OpenVMS System Administrator to join our Pune team. The role focuses on managing OpenVMS environments on Itanium platforms, ensuring high availability, and performing proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor complex OpenVMS environments and perform proactive maintenance.
• Maintain systems, data backups, restoration processes, and user account management.
• Manage batch, generic, and print queues.
• Tune, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade operating systems using tools such as SYSGEN, SYSMAN, PERFDAT and Availability Manager.
• Install and configure high‑availability clusters and OpenVMS HA environments.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of OpenVMS operating systems on Itanium platforms (7+ years preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with security configuration within OpenVMS systems.
• Ability to work with storage management and analysis, including Pure storage technologies.

• OpenVMS administration on Itanium hardware.
• Digital Command Language (DCL).
• SYSGEN, SYSMAN, PERFDAT, Availability Manager.
• Python (plus).
• Pure storage and other SAN technologies.
• Console Works for OpenVMS management (plus).
• HP Virtual Connect configuration (plus) and ITIL certification (plus).
