Housekeeping Manager – Operations & Guest Services

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations across Housekeeping, the Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry (if applicable) at our beachfront property. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction within budgetary limits.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily housekeeping, recreation, and laundry operations, ensuring timely communication of room status to the Front Desk.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, assigning work orders for cleaning and turnover.
• Maintain inventory levels of supplies, linens, and equipment, and verify staff have necessary tools and uniforms.
• Supervise and coach housekeeping staff, schedule shifts, track attendance, and enforce policies and SOPs.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Lead the inspection program, hold staff accountable for corrective actions, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, communicate goals, and support employee recognition initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, budgeting, and guest service standards.
• Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
