Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the housekeeping department at Novotel Hyderabad Airport, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and guest satisfaction across rooms and public areas. The role involves coordinating with other hotel departments, managing staff, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall day‑to‑day operations of the housekeeping department.
• Direct and control housekeeping activities to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Assign duties, inspect work, and resolve complaints regarding service and equipment.
• Ensure the appearance of guest rooms, public areas, lobbies, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Establish standards, procedures, and work schedules for efficient service delivery.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to maximize cooperation, productivity, and guest service.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and provide training on safety provisions.
• Conduct regular room and public‑area inspections and oversee preventative maintenance of furniture, carpeting, and equipment.
• Motivate and develop staff, promote teamwork, and ensure grooming standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in housekeeping management.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong leadership qualities, honesty, integrity, and cultural awareness.
• Ability to accept responsibility, delegate tasks, and motivate teams.
• Strategic, inductive and creative thinking with a focus on performance improvement.
