Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the housekeeping department of Hyatt House Bangalore Devanahalli, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house non‑kitchen spaces meet Hyatt’s brand standards. This role combines operational oversight with staff leadership to deliver a consistently high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cleaning operations for guest rooms, corridors, lobby, and other public areas.
• Oversee laundry and dry‑cleaning services, including hotel linen, uniforms and guest laundry.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt International corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Plan and schedule housekeeping staff, monitor attendance and performance.
• Control inventory of linen, amenities and cleaning supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality standards.
• Handle guest requests and resolve any housekeeping‑related issues promptly.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and cost controls.
• Train and develop housekeeping team members on procedures and safety protocols.

Required profile

• University degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager in a large hotel operation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and sound administrative skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain high service standards.
