Housekeeping Faculty (Full‑time) – Hospitality Education

About the role

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in Ahmedabad is seeking a full‑time Housekeeping Faculty member. You will join a dynamic hospitality education team and deliver both theoretical and practical training in housekeeping operations to future hotel professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and hands‑on sessions covering guest‑room maintenance, public‑area cleaning, laundry operations, and hygiene & safety standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
• Mentor and support learners from diverse backgrounds, providing constructive feedback.
• Organise practical training in simulated or live hotel environments and coordinate with other faculty to keep curricula industry‑relevant.
• Participate in academic meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and assist with workshops, seminars and student development events.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures and hygiene/safety standards.
• Professional experience in hotel housekeeping management or supervisory roles, preferably with recognized hotel chains.
• Ability to design structured lessons, practical demonstrations and industry‑aligned assessments.
• Effective classroom management and the ability to engage and mentor students.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional hospitality languages are a plus.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management; specialised housekeeping certification is advantageous.
• Prior teaching or training experience in hospitality education is highly desirable.
