Housekeeping Associate

About the role

The Housekeeping Associate ensures guest rooms and public areas at Ginger Hotels in Agartala are clean, safe, and well presented. This full‑time, on‑site position involves a range of housekeeping duties, from room preparation to guest interaction, while upholding the brand’s high standards of hygiene and service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, change linens, and replenish amenities.
• Handle laundry tasks, including sorting, washing, and caring for linens and guest garments.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment in good order.
• Interact courteously with guests, respond to service requests, and report maintenance issues.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and infection‑control procedures at all times.
• Support new team members through on‑the‑job guidance and foster a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Strong laundry skills, including handling and caring for linens and garments.
• Effective communication abilities to coordinate with team members and assist guests.
• Customer‑service mindset with a respectful and welcoming attitude.
• Organizational skills to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and keep supplies orderly.
• Attention to detail and adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate loads, and operate housekeeping equipment safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
