Housekeeping Associate

About the role

The St. Regis Mumbai is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This full‑time, on‑site position involves responding promptly to guest requests, handling linen, and supporting the overall appearance of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Enter guest rooms following security procedures, verify vacancy, and replace amenities and supplies.
• Change dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds, and fold towels.
• Clean bathrooms, remove trash, and clear room‑service items.
• Inspect and ensure all room appliances are present and functional.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls, furniture, and fixtures.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor‑care duties in rooms and hallways.
• Transport and restock housekeeping carts with supplies.
• Adhere to company safety, security, and uniform policies.
• Assist guests, including those with disabilities, using clear and professional language.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required; no prior experience necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 lb unassisted and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart on uneven surfaces.
• Commitment to follow safety training, report hazards, and maintain confidentiality.
