Hospital Housekeeping Staff

About the role

We are seeking dedicated Hospital Housekeeping Staff to ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role involves maintaining all areas of the hospital in accordance with strict infection-control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, wards, ICU areas, corridors, waiting areas, offices, and washrooms.
• Perform regular sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitization of hospital premises.
• Follow hospital hygiene, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to hospital guidelines, including careful handling of biomedical waste with color-coded segregation.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, furniture, doors, and equipment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness around patient beds and assigned areas, and assist with cleaning during patient shifting, discharge, and room preparation.
• Refill housekeeping supplies such as disinfectants, tissues, soaps, and other materials when required.
• Report spills, damaged equipment, safety hazards, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Follow PPE and workplace safety guidelines during housekeeping activities.
• Coordinate with nursing, administration, and housekeeping supervisors as needed and complete assigned duties within the scheduled shift.
