Histopathology Technician

About the role

Apoorva Diagnostic & Healthcare is seeking a full‑time Histopathology Technician to join its laboratory team in Bangalore. The position follows a hybrid work model, allowing remote handling of documentation and digital reporting while most laboratory activities are performed on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, label, and accession specimens, ensuring accurate tracking.
• Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining (including special and immunohistochemical stains).
• Prepare slides according to laboratory protocols and assist pathologists with diagnostic support.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, manage reagents and consumables, and ensure compliance with quality‑control, biosafety, and infection‑control standards.
• Enter data into laboratory information systems and contribute to report preparation.
• Support regulatory and accreditation compliance through proper documentation and SOP adherence.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Histopathology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Prior experience in a histopathology or surgical pathology laboratory, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic centre.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and ability to follow written protocols.
• Effective teamwork and time‑management skills in a high‑volume environment.
