Histopathology Laboratory Technician

About the role

As a Histopathology Laboratory Technician at Enveda, you will be the technical backbone of tissue processing and slide preparation, delivering high‑quality sections and stains that enable pathologists to evaluate drug safety and disease biology.

Key responsibilities

• Accession, log, and verify tissue specimens; embed tissue in paraffin blocks and cut 3‑5 µm sections using a microtome.
• Perform routine H&E staining and specialized histochemical and immunohistochemical stains per study protocols.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment including automated processors, embedding stations, microtomes, and slide stainers.
• Monitor stain quality, document procedures, and conduct daily QC checks to meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Follow biohazard, chemical safety, and waste disposal protocols while contributing to SOP improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Histotechnology, or related field.
• 1‑5 years experience in a histopathology or surgical pathology laboratory with high‑volume microtomy and block embedding.
• Hands‑on experience with H&E, histochemical, and IHC staining.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines.
