Heavy Motor Equipment Operator II / Laborer I

About the role
The Town of Dartmouth Department of Public Works is looking for a Heavy Motor Equipment Operator II / Laborer I to perform skilled manual work operating a range of heavy motor equipment, including dump trucks, snow plows, road rollers and mowers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate assigned heavy motor equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Assist with road and site preparation tasks as required.
- Follow all safety regulations and departmental procedures.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience operating light and/or heavy automotive equipment.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
Required skills
- 4G Hoisting License.
- MA CDL Class B License with Tanker Endorsement.
- Proficiency in operating dump trucks, snow plows, road rollers, and mowers.
