Head of Engineering – Detailed Design for Water Projects

About the role

The Head of Engineering will lead the detailed design function for water infrastructure projects, ensuring high‑quality technical delivery, client satisfaction, and financial performance. This senior role combines engineering leadership with commercial oversight, including responsibility for project P&L, invoicing, and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee detailed engineering design activities for water and wastewater projects.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
• Manage project P&L, drive profitability, and support budget planning and control.
• Oversee project invoicing cycles and ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Act as primary engineering contact for key clients; maintain strong working relationships.
• Support proposal development and resource planning for upcoming opportunities.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams across multiple project locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Over 20 years of experience in water infrastructure design.
• Strong commercial awareness with hands‑on P&L and financial reporting experience.
• Proven client management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
