About the role
The Category Head will lead the end‑to‑end category function for a fast‑growing B2B quick‑commerce platform, driving growth, profitability and operational excellence across all verticals.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full P&L for assigned categories, setting pricing, margin and assortment strategies.
- Plan and execute category growth initiatives, track performance, demand trends and competitive insights.
- Partner with the Product team to enhance platform experience, ensure optimal product placement, ranking and SKU visibility, and maintain catalog quality.
- Work closely with Sales to drive promotions, retailer programmes and on‑ground support, and align demand planning for optimal stock levels.
- Lead negotiations with brands and distributors, secure best pricing, margins and schemes, and manage vendor relationships and performance.
Required profile
- 10+ years of category or commercial leadership experience in quick commerce, e‑commerce, FMCG, retail or B2B distribution.
- Proven P&L ownership with a track record of delivering profitability.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Experience scaling teams and building category playbooks.
- MBA preferred from a Tier‑1/2 institute.
