Head of Business Development

About the role

The Head of Business Development will lead both domestic and international sales, marketing and service functions for Tata International Vehicle Applications (TIVA). This senior position is responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market reach and strengthening the TIVA brand across diverse vehicle‑application segments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales, business development, marketing and service activities for domestic and overseas markets.
• Identify and develop new geographies, customer segments and trailer applications.
• Enhance brand presence through strategic partnerships and customer engagement.
• Monitor competitor actions, pricing trends and regulatory changes affecting trailer demand.
• Set sales objectives and devise strategies for each line of business aligned with corporate goals.
• Achieve revenue targets for the trailer business in India and abroad.
• Identify product gaps and guide product development initiatives.
• Support sales managers in critical negotiations and key customer deals.
• Prepare manpower, revenue and capital‑expenditure budgets for business development.
• Analyse sales performance metrics to inform management decisions.
• Drive performance management by defining and aligning sales team KRAs.
• Guide the service team to improve customer satisfaction and complaint resolution turnaround time.

Required profile

• MBA in Sales & Marketing and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 20‑25 years of experience in the automobile industry.
• Proven experience managing a pan‑India dealership network (preferred).
