Hardware Design Engineer – Battery Management Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to join Bosch’s Battery Management Systems team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for creating and validating hardware components that power both low‑voltage and high‑voltage battery systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware modules for LV and HV battery management systems.
• Perform requirement analysis using Bosch’s DOORSPCN/PTN processes.
• Create electronic schematics, creepage distance matrices and review PCB layouts.
• Select components based on Design Acceptance Review (DAR) and define test specifications.
• Document design, test plans, execution results and generate test reports.
• Conduct FMEA and FMEDA studies for safety and reliability.
• Run simulations, calculations and hardware verification in accordance with LV124 and ISO 16750 standards.

Required profile

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with analog, digital and power electronics circuit design.
• Proven ability to work with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, high‑voltage power supplies and function generators.

Required skills

• Analog and digital circuit design.
• Component selection and worst‑case analysis.
• Simulation tools: LTSpice, SIMPLIS, MATLAB, Mathcad.
• FMEA and FMEDA methodology.
• Hardware verification and validation (LV124, ISO 16750).
• Soldering and high‑voltage power electronics testing.
• Strong debugging skills using schematics.
