Gym Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking a warm, confident, and service‑focused Gym Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our gym at Soho House Mumbai. You will create a personalised experience for members and guests while supporting the safe and smooth operation of the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, delivering a friendly and personalised experience at each visit.
• Build strong relationships, understand member needs, and respond to enquiries, requests, and feedback.
• Manage gym entry and exit systems, ensuring security and appropriate access.
• Support membership administration and maintain accurate records.
• Promote memberships, gym services, challenges, and House initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of reception, gym, and surrounding areas.
• Conduct regular equipment checks, report maintenance or safety concerns, and ensure facilities are safe and ready for use.
• Follow Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and emergency procedures, escalating incidents as needed.
• Collaborate with the wider House team to deliver a seamless member experience.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, fitness, wellness, hotels, clubs, or other customer‑facing environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, approachable, and confident when interacting with people.
• Interest in fitness, health, and wellness.
• Organised with basic administration and computer system handling.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of issues.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
